Has anyone got a "Pantherlord" (aka HDE) dual PS2 adaptor to work?

I found this site which seems to indicate that the "pantherlord" (dual PS2 controller adaptors with force-feedback support) are working on the Mister:-

http://www.mistercores.com/joysticks-and-controllers/

I've checked the output log, and the Mister notices when it's plugged in, and gives a list of the input devices showing the Twin USB Joystick.

Code: Select all

Open up to 30 input devices.
opened 0( 0): /dev/input/event3 (0810:0001) 0 "usb-ffb40000.usb-1.2/input0" "Twin USB Joystick"
opened 1( 0): /dev/input/event2 (0810:0001) 0 "usb-ffb40000.usb-1.2/input0" "Twin USB Joystick"
opened 2( 2): /dev/input/event1 (046d:405e) 0 "usb-ffb40000.usb-1.1:2/405e-b7-f1-85-08/1" "Logitech M720 Triathlon"
opened 3( 3): /dev/input/mouse0 (0000:0000) 0 "usb-ffb40000.usb-1.1:2/405e-b7-f1-85-08" ""
opened 4( 4): /dev/input/event0 (046d:405b) 0 "usb-ffb40000.usb-1.1:1/405b-9c-a5-70-82/0" "Logitech K780"
However, no button/axis events are registering. Other devices, such as the keyboard are reporting events, just not that. I tried using the recommende USB quirks, but I noticed in the /var/log/messages that the Pantherlord driver loads and sets the quirks to the recommended values itself.

Any advice / other users of these deviceS?

So, I just plugged it back into the laptop and it's now not registering button clicks there either. I had it working with an emulator yesterday. Looks like it's died when I unplugged and moved it :/

Got it from Amazon here:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01J4JVFXI/

There's a lot of people who say they have similar issues... It works occasionally, but poor manufacturing quality means the pins don't mate properly.. Somtimes it just shows up as a driver, but no button presses. :(

Dang.. Looked like the perfect solution, but turns out it's utter garbage.
