Bios Quick Load?

I was wondering if there was anything similar to the PCE-CD core in which we can have the MegaCD games load into the bios automatically when loading a game? Any info is greatly appreciated

because MegaCD is CD-only core, the BIOS is loaded at boot.
I will see if it will be possible to load per-game bios.

It might be tricky: while the US bios loads a game by pressing start, the Japanese Mega-CD follows a different process and requires you to press Start then play on the following interface.

Derailing a bit, Sorge mentionned the PC Engine autoload BIOS, but I've failed to find it. Is it an option I am missing in the Turbografx core?

Ah I misunderstood what the request was! I thought the request was for the game to automatically launch on load, without having to press Start. Now I understand what the OP meant, and that's a great suggestion!

I agree that such functionality is very useful and should be implemented.

For those of us who like to use known good clean dumps our of BIOS, I've noticed that the region protection is retained when playing games. I was unable to boot a Japanese copy of Sonic CD without loading a Japanese MegaCD BIOS first.

It would be useful to be able to load a BIOS based on a boot.rom file placed in folders for "Japan" or "USA" depending on whatever folder the game files are placed in.

I was actually wondering if maybe a bios can be paired with each game so it can automatically catch the bios and boot into the respective bios.

example

Sonic CD Japan + Mega CD 2 Bios = autoboot to the JP bios
Sonic CD USA + Sega Genesis USA Bios = autoboot to USA bios
