Using the AR calculator for custom AR with integer scaling [Solved]

Hi,
I am trying to use custom AR to get the max vertical / horizontal height on my dell 1600x1200 screen for arcade cores (CPS 1/1.5/2 etc)
I know this isn't necessary for console cores as the have scale options in the OSD
I understand I can do this per core / game and understand that I will need to work how many times the native resolution
goes into the max resolution of my monitor, and then work out the how many pixels are left for the border. I also learnt that I need to know
the pixel clock information.
Questions
1. Do I keep vscale=1 or change this to 0 - or does this get overridden with the new AR instructions per core?
2.Can I use the below calculator to work out ratio/border/pixel clock for me, and if so, how?
