Will update all ever grab these cps2 cores?

Long story short I'm having an issue with my update all screen. It's not running the way it used to, it works but it won't let me into the configuration menu to enable jotego beta...
Update all is screwed up for me I think because my VGA scaler settings or something are off. I swing ch back and forth between HDMI and a crt... My update all never kicks into a countdown. It's weird I know.

It has nothing to do with the VGA out.
You need to it up after you enter the Update all script
Go into the settings for the Jortego cores, have the Beta cores listed activated. And you might also delete any download logs for the Jortego script.
If necessary delete any old CPS2 RBF and MRA files

That's the thing though... I don't get a normal update all screen. It's hard to explain but I can't up arrow into the configuration menu anymore. I don't get a countdown on that screen...

A couple of options i can think of to try!
Delete/download the update all script again, maybe delete update all.ini too.
And/Or.
Open a terminal using F9 login(user root and 1 as pass if not changed)/navigate to the scripts folder (cd /media/fat/scripts
) and run update_all.sh to start the update all script.
Or you can use SSH from another computer using putty from windows and do the same thing as in "F9 terminal", i use putty to update all the time.

Can you share your /media/fat/Scripts/.cache/update/update_all.log file?

Make sure cleared out all the updater cache folders, delete your current update-all script you are using, and then make sure you actually use the correct update-all script:

I used that JTBIN.zip. downloaded everything successfully but my cps2 cores won't load. Black screen... Some games are giving me jumbled graphics.
Any ideas??

Black screen usually indicates you don't have the roms, or you don't have an SDRAM module, or they are the wrong version of the roms, or maybe your roms are in the wrong folder location.

ugh... very frustrating. my arcade roms are on my SD card everything else is on my usb hard drive. There is an underscore before arcade... _Arcade on the root of my SD card.
and apparently the roms are in a MAME folder under games...

For posterity, I just rebuilt a new sd card from the ground up. It worked fine... I think there may have been an issue with the file structure.
I'm guessing if I try to run the attract mode I'm going to be dealing with the same issue.
