The Dragon32 core file formats help

Unread post by JudgeDrokk »

Hello!

I have no experience of the Dragon32 computer but would love to try it out and i'm able to thru the Coco II (TRS-80 ) core... but I have no idea how to run the s/w.

The archive I have is 99% .VDK files and on occasion a .dsk

My options file options in the core are

Tape - .cas (file/AOC)

Cartridge - .rom & .ccc

I've .dsk option and no idea how to execute a .cass file if I had one?

Are there any users who have run Dragon32 on the MiSTer who could help?

I only have cassette format games but generally, you load them with one of the following commands :-
CLOAD
CLOADM
CLOAD""

I don't have the link right now but there is a site with rom downloads that work with the core but it also has the tape inlay scanned.
Generally the inlay will tell you which command to use.

I'm off to bed now but I'll try to dig some more precise information out tomorrow

Apologies, I've ended having to work away and this completely slipped my mind.
I'll try to get onto this later this evening

Do a google search for "The Dragon Archive"
The top result is a fantastic page which is probably the largest archive of Dragon related materials.
Everything from software to technical documents etc

Go wild! :D

Did you get anywhere with this please? The site above has plenty of software, but all in VDK format as far as I can see, which can't be loaded by the MiSTer core.

I did find a few CAS files, but can't get these to run. I attached them via the OSD, then try CLOAD or CLOADM, but always get errors (e.g. "?IO ERROR", "?FM ERROR").
