Arkanoid II (Japan) garbled screen

Hi,

I tried Arkanoid II (Japan) and the title screen is filled 2/3 with the letter "0" and while the demo works, the bricks in the game are not visible. The rom is from a known good source and I tried copies from other sources with the same error. I already tried all permutations of the video settings. Could someone else please check and confirm the problem?
