Starting another Mister for an arcade cabinet, does anyone know where has the DE10 nano in stock for normal price?

Im in no big hurry so will wait I already have a mister but I think this will effect new people just want to start out with a mister? anyway I guess electronic supply chain shortages are making this situation for Terasic and the de10 nano stock levels.

That's odd... I just ordered a DE10 a few weeks back and I thought Digikey had well over 100 pieces. I wonder where on earth they could have all gone.

On a heavy day, 100 can disappear in that day. Normally about 20 a day on Mouser though

Yes at the sites i listed stock can indeed sell quickly and they all still seem to have shortages.

I’d say that combined with Covid, mister is going slightly more mainstream so expect shortages of components related to mister in future.

I’d wager that the retro gaming community, if purchasing mister in reasonable quantity would significantly impact the regular supply chain for de10 nanos. I doubt they’re a large volume product.

Digikey had literally several hundred of DE10 nano boards last summer. Glad I purchased few spares as I anticipated the YouTube trendy gang will get on the MiSTer bandwagon after decimating the stock of retro consoles here in Japan. Super Famicom, Neogeo, Arcade, MiSTer. Whats next....
And still no PS5, XSX or GPU at retail price. All this supply chain mess is wearing my patience.

The indications I get from the industry is that this won't normalize in less than a decade. Take that as you like.

I think reality looks more like two years, but agreed, it's not something that's going away overnight (or any time soon), and is necessarily impacting a *HELLA* lot more than just the electronics industry. The chip shortage was a blip. The real problems now are much more global around shipping and distribution infrastructure.

Are you talking about the DE10-Nano specifically or the entire industry of chips manufacture ?

Industry-wide, definitely.

Lead times on new components are 50-100 weeks right now. That is insane.

As still no stock of just de10 nano is available and you are looking for a de10 nano but dont mind paying a bit of a premium these kits include the cloud connectivity addon.

I can confirm with these you do get a de10 nano as i brought one of them.

Thanks for the tip! I wasn't sure I wanted to, but since Terasic just increased the price of the main unit to $200 today, it was only a matter of time before these jumped up past $240. Got it while the getting was good.

If you are looking for "available on hand" stock at Mouser or Digi-Key, don't expect to see them for months.
If you pre-order from Mouser, you will see that the future availability at the time of the next shipment drops. In other words, they are pre-selling the next shipment. As sales will continue to be equal to or greater than supply, you will see the lead time grow.

The current price on both Mouser and Digi-key is effectively the $170 price that it has been for several months, however expect this to rise within days to roughly $210, as Terasic has already increased.

For the base bare de10 nano this is very true, delivery date just keeps being push forward month on month however the 'DE10-Nano FPGA Cloud Connectivity Kit' is available on hand and shipping straight away from either digikey or mouser.

the links i included the post here have actual stock in hand, but now after terasic raise the price of bare de10 nano these do not seem too big of a price premium to get a de10 nano quickly.

Thanks for posting this. I came here specifically to ask this question, if the P0685 kit contains the exact same DE10-Nano board, as I stumbled across it when searching for the standalone board. What sucks is as of 2 days ago, the Terasic Amazon store had some DE10-Nano in stock at $170, and I waited just one day too long to pull the trigger, they went out of stock, and now the price increase. So tired of this supply chain craptastrophe.

Looks like I'll be buying one of the P0685 kits at $240 and I'll place a backorder for the standalone at $170.

It did not take long for the cloud kits to all be purchased, just wow.

blimey, gone up in price in the UK too. it's £167 now.. if you factor in a mister multi system+case. thats just shy of 400 notes.

Just out of curiosity. Are you guys considering to get a second board as a back up in case of a failure?

Nope. The de10-nanos deserve to be put to better use than sit on my shelf.
For me, there’s no harm in having to wait for a new board if mine fails beyond repair due to freak accident.

How much is a decent condition A1200 now though? I know a MiSTer isn't exactly the same but......

I'm not saying the MiSTer in MMS form is a bad deal, far from it, but with the de10 going up in price, it pushes up the overall cost and suddenly it's not such an attractive proposition.

I know what you mean re:a1200.. they cost a packet, partly due to a limited number produced and also growing interest in retro gaming, 10 years ago no one was even bothered, now everyone and his dog is into retrogaming and buying up amiga1200s like there's no tomorrow. this is also why i'm finding it hard to get hold of a decent crt.. everyone is snapping them up for gaming. (I wish i could just find someone to fix my old 14" crt)

having said all that.. i'm tempted to get an a500 and add a pistorm.. somewhat cheaper alt than an a1200 at the mo.. or maybe i'll just buy that cheap sony separate cassette deck I've been lusting over, get out my old tapes of the sunday radio 1 chart show from the 80's and forget about computers for a bit.

For those complaining about no de10nano - you can get one from Terasic. It says "out of stock" but it isn't. I ordered one and it shipped and.. it's stuck in Singapore. The point is - i ordered while it was "out of stock" thinking id get one next year, but it shipped the next day.
