Convert *.msa & *.stx to MiSTer *.st-files?

Hi,
downloading stuff for the Atari mostly results in .msa- or .stx-files. How can I convert those to the mister *.st format? There are some very old windows programs i found, but i am on a mac (don't wanna use wine or anything like that).
How do you do it?
Is miSTER ataricore support for .msa or .stx-file planned sometime in the future?
Cheers,
Ray

So, if found an older thread asking about *.stx support which seems to be impossible at the moment:
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2271
The thread also states, that *.msa-files are supported? How? I cannot select *.msa-files as a disk?

You can convert (and extract files from) MSA images to ST by using this small programm:
https://bitbucket.org/AnimaInCorpore/ms ... rc/master/
For the other things regarding disk formats etc, if I remeber correctly, Sorgelig said that this core was "only translated from MiST to MiSTer" but he hadn't an Atari ST at any time, has no knowlegde of it and hasn't a need to code for it, leaving this core for other developers who are interested in.

Hatari comes with a command line utility called
hmsa (at least on Linux it does from my experience) which can convert .msa files to .st. There appears to be a Mac version of the emulator available
here.

Hi Ray,
For the MSA to ST I've been using since a while MSA converter under windows :
http://msaconverter.free.fr/index-uk.html
STX is another story STX is a special format for copy protected floppies. It is not possible to convert it
Hope that one day a dev will implement the other image format to the core as many disk image are in STX and cannot be used under the current core.

Thank you all for your answers! I am too lazy to convert things, so i searched a little more and found everything i was looking for in *.st-format.
Let me just say "TOSEC", awesome
miSTER is just great, it's like a Timemachine for me ....
Btw., anyone know how the HELP-Key is mapped on a PC-Keyboard?
Cheers

I found another solution: hmsa
It comes with Hatari and is a commandline tool for unix/linux/mac. It converts .msa to .st and back.
https://man.archlinux.org/man/community ... /hmsa.1.en

Unfortunately STX would require the core to be cycle accurate and as far as I understand it, the MiSTery isn't. It is compatible with even the most demanding demos (the users of the MiST forum over at atari-forum did a great job to test hundreds of discs - ST and STE - and slingshot the original author of the core fixed all issues that came up), but the core itself is not cycle accurate on a hardware level.

This sounds good! It's one of my favourite St games.
But where can the Petari set be found? (I just Googled it but couldn't find it).
