Hello,
For some reason, I am no longer able to apply custom palettes when running the Gameboy Color core. What I noticed is that, some point after updating to the newest Gameboy core (Gameboy_20210930.rbf), switching palettes didn't seem to have any effect anymore. In the past, I had no problem applying custom palettes. That being said, I have tested changing palettes by "rolling back" to certain older .rbfs, including "Gameboy_20210508.rbf", but this hasn't fixed the problem.
In terms of settings, I am using:
System: Gameboy Color
Super Game Boy: On
Custom Palette: On
GBC Colors: Corrected
Any help would be much appreciated, as the color scheme that I am currently "locked" into is quite garish (see the attachment).
Thanks,
Morgoth

You need to set System to Auto or Gameboy. Custom palettes don't work in Gameboy Color mode because then the Gameboy Color applies its own colors to background and sprites.

Paulbnl,
That fixed it, thank you so much for chiming in. Any idea when your beta will be officially rolled into the GB/GBC core?
Thanks!
