I had PR-Doom working fine from the installer but recently did a fresh Mister install and find it not working.
A message was asking for a missing file: "libdb-5.3.so"
A similar bug was discussed in the SCUMMVM core here: https://githubmemory.com/repo/bbond007/ ... /issues/14
I extracted the file from an old linux image and put it in the SCUMMVM directory as discussed, and did the same with the PR-BOOM directory:
/media/fat/Doom/arm-linux-gnueabihf
Trying to relaunch the game, and now it is asking for file "libwayland-client.so.0" so I found it in the old linux image as well and placed it in the same Doom directory with "libdb-5.3.so"
Now the error message: "error while loading shared libraries: /media/fat/Doom/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libwayland-client.so.0: file too short"
...um, I don't even know to ASK help to fix this except-
How do I make the 'libwayland-client.so.0' file... TALLER?

Yep, The latest Linux.img update broke MiSTer_PrBoom-Plus.seastalker wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 6:00 pm

I think maybe your libwayland-client.so.0 is too short because perhaps you copied the symlink and not the actual .so file? Not sure.
I was not aware anyone was still using MiSTer_PrBoom-Plus anymore now that the original DOS version runs well on ao486 (after FPGAzumSpass's awesome tune-up), still PrBoom-Plus does offer a few advantages such as multi-player network support & still considerably higher FPS, so I thought I'd go ahead and fix it...
delete /media/fat/Doom/arm-linux-gnueabihf (first) the run -->
https://github.com/bbond007/MiSTer_PrBo ... staller.sh
Give that a try and report back if you would...
Thanks!

Re: Doom (PR-Boom Plus on Linux Side) new install bug?
@bbond007 - TOTALLY FIXED NOW! THANK YOU!!
I just have to figure out the settings again. It loaded Doom II by default instead of part 1. I will check my WAD files. Also the resolution by default is very windowed like ScummVM but likely a setting I just need to rediscover.
It is just great to have the option to play this in the AO486 core, or just launch it from your script.
I greatly appreciate you and your work bbond007.

Re: Doom (PR-Boom Plus on Linux Side) new install bug?
Many thanks also for me!
Agree Doom is working just fine on the AO486 core (and grateful to its devs for that) but still I prefer the PrBoom
I have already changed the video mode to 6, because of the ScummVM
