8bitdo SN30 Pro wired controller is being flaky

Unread post by AnimMaDeR »

I got an 8bitdo sn30 pro wired controller to hook up to my MiSTer and play some console games. However it’s been very flaky.

It will often not work after I boot up the MiSTer until I define the joystick, which I do over and over. It will work most consistently (but not perfectly) with the snes core however it will not work with the NES core unless I define the joystick buttons in the main menu (every single time).

Anyone else experiencing this? Is there an ini file that I need to adjust work with these controllers across all cores?

Any help would be appreciated.

I was dealing with this issue with 8bitDo Pro 2, having to reconnect bluetooth/redefine keys each reboot. I found that switching mine device to x (x-input) vs s (switch mode) corrected this condition.

d-input also works on 8bit pro2. you can also try the define buttons and then do the Do you want to setup alterative buttons. that my work.
