Spanish Crazy Kong weirdness

I was just giving the Spanish Crazy Kong a try when something weird happened. It's a lot easier than Donkey Kong so I was getting along nicely on 334700. Then on level 12 barrels it gave me a kill screen :o

Is it a version of the Galaxian Crazy Kong? It kill screens on 12. That’s the version on BitKit.

I guess this is normal behaviour. You can edit the mra to include the kill screen fix if you want to continue further.

I didn't test it, but the example from the MiSTer wiki should do the job:
