Would this be possible to implement? I got a lot of animated pixel art gif's I'd love to use a wallpaper for my Mister. Apologies if this is already implemented as I tried to use a gif and it did not work.

Although this isn't my cup of tea, I certainly see the benefit when you have a screen susceptible to burn-in like an OLED

Yes, those won't help against OLED burn-in , but I found this to be a good interview with the inventor IIRC
