Donkey Kong machine: remap buttons without keyboard?

Hello all,

I want to be able to set up cores on my DK machine without using a keyboard.

I have a combo to get into the OSD, and Menu Enter is set to Jump and Menu Back set to 2P Start. Everything works except I can't exit/finish a button remap in a core.

I can set the Jump button to Jump (in DK core) but then it doesn't recognize that button as Menu Enter to finish out the config.

Anything I can do short of adding new buttons or just using a wireless keyboard?

Nevermind: a kind, patient person on the discord pointed out that I can hold my menu button to skip the Pause input, and it will finish out the config!

Off topic… will you post any pictures of the machine itself, I’m quite curious :D

Attached! I will be releasing a video about it soon, I'm just waiting on a video amp to come in. I thought I could do without it but once calibrating the color I realized I needed it.

Brilliant! What kind of monitor are you using?

It's a Wells Gardner k4900 monitor. Pretty reliable old chassis. I put in a new tube so at least there's no burn!

Awesome! I have a dell lcd in mine. The arcade monitors are super rare here and I’m not comfortable stripping an old tv.
