Super Gameboy borders not working?

Its entirely possible I'm doing something wrong, but do Super Gameboy borders work for anyone else with the latest core? The ones built into carts that is, not custom ones.

They work. Set the system to gameboy, turn super gameboy on. Setting system to auto or gbc does not load a border. If you want the border and play with gbc colors, load as I said, then open the menu and set system to gbc and choose reset.

EDIT: setting to auto might work too.
