There are two Aliens core one person is working on Aliens directly but haven't heard anything recently and Furrtek is going through each chip on the board and recreating them from imaging. Furrtek did the NeoGeo core that way and does a great job so well that each chip can be made as an asic and replaced on the actual hardware. Long term and for Konami cores Furrtek is the best bet now. I am hoping for Simpsons and X-men at some point and am donating to Furrtek's patreon. https://www.patreon.com/furrtek/posts I would recommend you do the same if you care about that core and Konami arcade cores.

Thank you for making me aware of this.

This is great news, and over on the Patreon (you can view a lot of posts free if you can't afford to support him) it looks like solid progress is being made. I hope Simpsons will be next!

Where is the progress at as of today?
I haven't seen any Youtube/Twitter updates re Aliens-Konami hardware for a while other than him saying he was hoping to get TMNT out before the end of the year.
Im subbed upto Jotego on Patreon, so unfortunately don't have the spare $ to stay upto date.
Thanks.

I think you can get on Furrtek's Patreon for like $2. And it's billed only when they make a post. Not monthly like most other Patreons out there.

Hi thanks, yes I left Francisco a message on Youtube a month ago, but got no reply.
Hopefully Furrtek who's finishing up TMNT can continue this work since it's on the same? hardware.

Furrtek has said recently that after TMNT is done, he wants to focus on documenting individual components (open sourced) instead of writing cores. So hopefully his work will help, but it will still be up to someone else to implement it.

Still has Beta status. Only patreon supporter can play it yet. The rest have to wait for an official release.

The core should be public now, but after update_all it is still “yellow” and unplayable.
How do I fix it?

Are you a Patreon member? I am, and I think in the past when these betas have gone public I've had to sometimes delete the old rbf/mra for the core and then run update_all to start fresh
There's an all-purpose one for arcade games as well as a couple of alternatives for tweaking. Other presets for C64/Amiga, but requires you also download the matching shadow mask (below, on the same page).
These will look great if you've got a calibrated screen. The more "off" your monitor is set, the worse it'll look, but that's nothing to do with the presets.
