USB hard disk: Unable to enumerate USB device

I've bought a new USB hard disk, but when I try to connect it to the MiSTer, it's not working. The dmesg output is:

When connected to my desktop computer, the drive works fine. Any idea how to make it work with MiSTer?

Note: The drive is externally powered, so it's not a question of power draw.
