Jump button not working in ZX Next Night Knight

OK this is a weird one. I have setup my arcade stick for use with ZX Next, all 6 buttons. All games work as expected including the ZX Next OSD. Except Night Knight demo included in boot.vhd, whatever I do, the action (jump) button doesn't work. I tried all buttons on the stick, no luck.
Any ideas?

Did anyone ever find a fix for this? This happens in the full version of the game too.

Same problem here. But I noticed that even the keyboard jump does not work

Hello, I'm new here 
I have the same problem with Night Knight (MiST-FPGA). I changed the options from "Userport: Tape to UART".
Now I can jump. Best Regards
