Re: PlayStation Core Screen Rotation
180° flip might be done at some point, as it's only different data.
Re: PlayStation Core Screen Rotation
A lot of great tate Shmups games can be set in tatemode per ingame settings.
Some games can only be set rotate clockwise
Some games can only be set rotate anticlockwise
Depending on how you have put your crt in tate the picture is 180degress wrong/upside down.
I have put my crt in tate by rotating it 90degress clockwise, so eg. Raiden DX is upside down
and a flip screen option for 180degress turning will be great, if you some time for implementation.
Many thanks to FPGAzumSpaß for all your effords you are doing to the mister community
Re: PlayStation Core Screen Rotation
Of course there is no game that requires a 90 degree rotated screen, but there are some titles that make use of a "tate mode".
In tate mode these games (mostly arcade ports) benefit from a higher resolution this way and are rotated closer to the arcade counterpart.
So...it would be nice to be able to do that.

Re: PlayStation Core Screen Rotation
I am in the process of building an arcade cabinet with a rotatable CRT in it. I am looking forward to finishing it!
Re: PlayStation Core Screen Rotation
Rotating the 65" OLED screen in my living room should be.....quite impossible (well...maybe it is, but I won't try that).
Besides I do have a rotatable NEC XP29plus BVM, but I prefer the comfort of my living room.
I don't think an option like this should be too difficult to implement (but then....what do I know?)

I don't know anything myself, but it's probably more complex than we could imagine.RiotRay wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 8:27 pm @thorr

Re: PlayStation Core Screen Rotation
I did it with a 50 inch Pioneer Elite plasma TV. It was totally worth it.RiotRay wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 8:27 pm @thorr

Re: PlayStation Core Screen Rotation
I have some weird issue on Raiden 2 on PSX Core.
I would like to play it on Tate Mode.
So i have to reconfigure my steering 90 degrees ...
Means -->
UP = right
DOWN = left
RIGHT = down
LEFT = UP
But when i play the game the controls are 45 degress rotated so its diagonal....
Can anybody cofirm this issue or have a soloution how to fix this ?
Im using a Qanba Obsidian 2 Arcade Stick and downt have any problems on any core or game...
Kind regards
im afraid your path ends here ... Jago

Assuming you are using the US version of The Raiden Project, there is a cheat to rotate the controls with the screen, see True TATE mode.
Re: PlayStation Core Screen Rotation
So sadly dont work for me because on Dodonpachi i do have the same issue.
For Tate games i have a hardware soloution... I just truned the whole stick inside the
Arcade stick. I have now a second Arcade Stick just for Tate Shooters.
Kind regards

Re: PlayStation Core Screen Rotation
So bit of thread necro BUT, the cheat to do this is in the default cheats for mister. However i failed to get it to work now, where i was able to do it earlier. Probably matters where you enable it...
