Cave Cores Not Compatible With Direct Video on CRT?

Hi guys,
I've never been able to play any of the Cave cores on my Mister (this includes the latest ones), all I get is a black screen. I am using direct video on a CRT. Is this not a possibility?

I've tried them via Direct Video couple of days ago, they all work fine.
The only core I know of not working on CRT (both IO & DV) is Dodonpachi. It used to work in some older versions though.

DDP works fine on crt here, both direct and on io. I am running unstable.

The next release of Main should fix this.

It depends on the crt.

Last time I tried it, dodonpachi worked fine in my CRT through Scart RGB, but only vertical, so I would need to turn my TV to play it.

Nope, did not fix it.
Got better crt on a lot, Cave cores no result. It is weird as the first Cave versions did work on the CRT.

I just flipped my CRT TV (Sony Trinitron KV21M3E, RGB through Scart Euroconector), and while the Cave cores worked, the image was a bit unstable. Changing from 57 to 60hz didn't seem to do anything. If I remember well, I had similar troubles with this same TV with some consoles back in the day, such as GameCube.
The new Armed Batrider and the CPS2 shooters work fine though. However, I'm missing a flip screen option in the CPS2 ones, otherwise I have to turn the TV the other way around.

The 60hz option seems to affect only the hdmi output.
If it doesn't work on your crt, that's maybe because your crt doesn't accept this refresh rate.
The core used to work on one of my crt during the beta test but not anymore. However it still works on another one.

I've tried the latest nightly unstable main too, and no change. What I mean by black screen is that the TV goes completely black, and I cannot even bring up the menu. I have to restart the entire Mister.
This doesn't happen with any other core, regardless of refresh rate. If it's incompatible it usually makes the screen flicker, not crash the Mister.

Not even pressing Shift+Ctrl+Left Alt+Right Alt?

Some of my crt's turn black with the cave core when the display is out of the overscan area. Try this: shift the display vertically and horizontally using the video settings in the core - on a monitor that works. And then try again. The core _does_ work on crt both direct video and analogue out.
