Scanlines for TATE games on a PC CRT

Hi,
I'm using these settings on my PC CRT (with HDMI to VGA adapter) to get a fantastic high resolution 1920x1200 signal to play vertical arcade games with the rotate option enabled:
vga_scaler=1
direct_video=0
vscale_mode=2
video_mode=1920,1200,60,cvt
Unfortunately, scanlines - via the video processing options - look pretty awful. Anyone got a similar set up with recommended settings?
