Hi to all, I have all the mister stuff on a hard drive, works ok but I have to plug/unplug the power to change cores.
big micro sd cards are to expensive in my country....
I was thinking if it´s possible to have some stuff on sd and other on hdd and plug/unplug if I have to.
Is a mess? or somebody have that setup?
thanks
switching from sd to hdd

Re: switching from sd to hdd
Have a small (eg 32GB) SD card for the MiSTer install - Linux, cores, etc - and keep roms on the HDD. Should work without any additional steps.

Re: switching from sd to hdd
Yes it's possible and yes, it's actually very easy.
For example; just put cores that require ROMs on the SD and CD images on the USB storage and provided you have a correctly formatted drive and the directories named correctly it will show up in the MiSTer's menus and is indistinguishable from everything just living on the SD.
