Weird issue with the aspect ratio - The Display Resolution Changed After Update

Dear forum members,
I ran the update script today and when I started the Donkey Kong Core, the image resolution was a lot smaller and squished together... Before the update I had perfect and to get close to that now, I have to set it to fullscreen and before the update I had it set to original resolution in aspect ratio.
Can someone please help me understand what happened.
