Ao486 and apple monitors

Unread post by anderse77 »

Will this core work on an apple multiple scan monitor (640x480, 31.47khz, 1024x768, 60khz? Anyone knows or does mister just work on exactly 31khz resolutions?

It should be possible, at least in theory. You could try to use the mode changing options, though this method has been modernised and included in the main now, so there's no need for separate ini files. You can also look at the new "cvt" function, perhaps both these things can be combined now.

These variables are used and also explained in the mister.ini, look for "Overrides for video mode" and "cvt".

It does NOT work on my Mac LC III monitor that supports multiple specific modes. I replaced the Apple monitor with a Dell VGA monitor and was able to use it with my Mac and everything else.
