Hi all, I got this PSX Snac adapter this week from https://MiSTerFPGA.co.UK and it works great. However I’m not sure how I’m supposed to save games when using the Snac adapter?

I’ve put a blank.mcd file in my PSX games folder but when I try to mount the file it doesn’t appear.

Controllers and memory cards both come in on the same connection.

So if you want to save while SNAC is enabled then you need to connect a real memory card.

The way to do that is with a multi tap.

You plug that into SNAC port 1 and then plug your controller and memory card into the multi tap's port 1.

Or you can just mount a memory card in slot 2 if you are only using SNAC on P1.

Like this.

You just choose the psx .sav file. Each one of these is a memory card. If you want a blank one use this --> https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/PSX_MiS ... /empty.mcd

A handful of games will ONLY save/read to memory card slot 1, R4 a favorite of mine is one of them. I saw provisions on the snac adapter I bought from ebay for memory cards. I got crafty on a rainy Saturday and made a custom memory card pcb using sweeps from a chip socket for my psx snac thingy. Worked out perfectly, copied my records on real hardware to cheap mem card and MiSTer loaded them just fine. @OP, I bet under that cover you'll find the holes to add a memory card on your snac.

good day.
