MickGyver / DaemonBite Adapter, Can´t Start Game [Solved]

Unread post by peke »

Hi to all, I made 2 MickGyver / DaemonBite adapters (db9 for atari controller and db15 for neo geo stick).

I can assign all buttons and mister recognizes them, but then...I can start the game.

When I use other controllers...and press A...mister shows on screen display of the assigned buttons, but with the DaemonBite adapter it don´t happen...

what is that I´m doing wrong?

thanks!

[SOLVED] well...mapping buttons on the mister (not inside a core), kind off solve the problem, I can play neo geo...but i think the response is not perfect (some times I push up on the stick on metal slug for example and is not immediate....

on atari I still Couldn't start the game

You might have to assign buttons on mister and the core. I usually do this as a standard practice since some button mappings don't automatically carry over.

Atari 2600 or 7800? If it’s the 2600, I believe a lot of those games require you to press the Reset button to start them. You can assign Reset to a button on your keyboard or I believe you can do it right from the OSD menu.

As for the neo geo input delay you’ve described, that sounds like it could be an issue with your adapter. I’d check the connector plug and make sure your pins are making good contact with the controller plug.

Glad you got Neo Geo working! To map Reset to a keyboard, you will need to select the map joystick option with the keyboard itself and do the mapping entirely from the keyboard. In addition to Reset, there are a few other buttons that may be useful to map to the keyboard. You can skip any buttons you don’t care to map to the keyboard.
