RTD-2556T LCD Monitor Power Supply?

Unread post by Shaunuk »

Hi guys. Hope this is the right section. Just ordered the following;

VSDISPLAY RTD2556T LCD Controller Board Work For 9.7" 2048x1536 LP097QX1 LTL097QL01 Custom Firmware for Laser Bear Industries

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004490790197.html

Im looking for a power cable for the board and it says it needs the following;

Input Power Supply: DC Connector 3.5mmx1.35mm 5~12V dc, Mirco USB 5V dc.

Can someone point me in the right direction let me know which is the correct one to order? I'm in the U.K. so something off eBay.co.uk would be great. Thank you.

You just need a micro USB cable and a sufficiently powerful USB power supply (5W probably fine), you may even have something laying around that will suffice? I don't have a Laser Bear flashed board but I can power my 9.7" screen from my MiSTer setup directly with just a micro USB cable.

here's the official power supply. i couldn't find it on amazon.co.uk though.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZNJB5BB

VSDisplay says you can power via usb but it's better to use the DC power adapter.

"Micro usb can be used for powering,but it will be better to use DC connector to power the screen of this product,don't power through this micro usb port."
