MiSTer FPGA SNAC With off Brand NES Turbo Controllers

Unread post by aarkay14 »

Hello All!

I am new to Mister FPGA and need some help, I have purchased an all in one PCB from AliExpress which has a CVBS video out and User port for SNAC controller. Basically I wanted to use it as a replacement for my Famicom. But I have found that with the SNAC adaptor only the Official AV Famicom controller is working but an off brand controller with turbo buttons does not work properly - only the A and B buttons work but the left right buttons do not work.

It is this controller:

If anyone can guide me what is wrong here then it will be great! I really wanna use the Turbo controllers! It reminds me of childhood memeories when I use to game on a dendy with the turbo controllers.

Thank you!

Maybe you can set up the turbo buttons to use the Autofire feature?

I've had good luck with Beeshu Zipper controllers. That said, for NES you can get USB adapters that work fantastic with low enough latency you can't tell the difference. I use the retrousb adapter with mine.

Also make sure you have the mouse turned off for the Zapper in the menu.
