Lost Keyboard Function

Hi,
I made a newbie error I am trying to figure how to fix.
I had a keyboard I was using with MisterFPGA. I plugged it in and was working. I hit F12 and then left. I select Remap Keyboard and hit ESC. I then lost keyboard control. I plugged in a new keyboard and it works. However, my old keyboard no longer works with MisterFPGA. How do I get the old keyboard to work again? I tried other ports etc and no dice. The keyboard does work in other devices. Any ideas how to undo what I did?
Thanks!

Try messing with Fast Polling on/off?

Yes, I turned it off and on again. When it was off it did not work, and when I put it back on it did not work either.

Hi,
I was able to fix the problem. What I did was unplug ALL controllers, hard drive, wireless, dotmatrix display, and keyboard. I Then turned on device and plugged in the old keyboard and it worked. I then plugged in drive and controller. That all worked. I assume the problem is not enough juice. I am using a 4 Amp power supply. Does anyone recommend a LARGER power supply I can use?
Thanks

What brand is 4 amp supply?
this surprise me if you need larger power supply, I run more devices and have no issues with a meanwell 4 amp power supply, maybe what is needed is high quality supply like meanwell.

Yeah, I'm curious if your problematic keyboard has lots of fancy RGB LEDs and your working keyboard doesn't? What keyboards? What power supply? The more specific info you post the better, thanks

This was the power supply I got on ebay:
Global AC/DC Adapter For Triad Magnetics WSU 5V-24V Series Power Supply Charger
$16.99Unit price $16.99
Item number:373513815804
5.0V 4.0A WSU050-4000
The keyboard was a generic 5 dollar special no rgb or anything...
I had Wireless/Wifi/BT usb adapter, ttyoled, wd 5GB usb hard drive, daemonbyte adapter for controller + controller
I cannot plug in MT32 Pi unless I take stuff off, so it has to be a power supply adapter issue...
Any suggestions on a larger one?

If you are using an in-cable power switch, get a mains plug switch and remove the in-cable one. I have a 5A power supply, which is complete overkill but still couldn't power the mt32-pi together with my TTY2OLED and RGB fan, before I changed the power switch.

LamerDeluxe, I think you nailed the problem. I am using a switch for the power. It is splitter here:
https://misteraddons.com/collections/pa ... wer-switch
So I am confused on what to do here. Do I buy 2 power adapters one for each board? (nano and usb?) Or is there a better power switch? Sucks if I would lose a nice switch thing and have to plug it in and out like a raspberry pi.

BTW I am using an analog IO board and USB board. Yes I do use the VGA adapter.
Plus that switch I had in small print: The switch is rated for 2A @ 5V
Thats the problem...

You just have to bypass the switch and instead switch the AC with a switched power outlet, power strip, ... A while ago there was the same conversation and someone used a remote controlled AC outlet.

I removed the inline switch, but still use the splitter cable.
I'm using one of these, in black:

Thank you all! Now I understand. I will test and let you guys know how it goes. I will try just the splitter and see if power problems are gone.

To whomever has the same problem,
I tried a 5 Amp power adapter with just the power splitter. It did not resolve my issue. The WD Passport hard drive and keyboard just had power up issues. To work around the problem I used a powered usb splitter (hub). I plugged both the HD and keyboard to it and connected the splitter to the Mister. That worked flawlessly. I am able to run ALL of the following:
1. Keyboard
2. DecaPod
3. ttyoled
4. Insigna Powered USB Hub
5. Mt32-Pi
6. Wireless/Wifi/BT adapter USB
7. USB WD Passport 4TB hard drive
I was also able to use the switch from Mister AddOns as well to turn on and off the Mister.
Hope this helps and thanks all for your input.
