No Signal on LG C9

Hi all,

New MiSTer user here, I've got a DE10-Nano, USB Hub & DIO Board in my setup.

I'm trying to connect to my LG C9, which is a 2.1, VRR & ALLM compatible set, when I've run the update all script and edited the settings as below, I'm getting no signal to the set with a 1080p/60 video mode. I also got no sound with a 720p signal, is there a volume setting somewhere I'm missing?

I'm using an Amazon basics 2.0 HDMI cable, is that the issue? Any help would be appreciated.

Can't say for sure, but seems similar to problems I was having on my LG C1. Are you using ARC or eARC in your setup anywhere? The mister can have issues with certain hardware setups using CEC and you need to remove that from the HDMI cable with an adapter like this one

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DL48KVI/

Mine was working fine and then no picture... nothing I did would fix it until I remembered this issue and used the adpater. No problems since.

Better explanation here: viewtopic.php?t=2474

Thanks, I don't believe CEC is the current issue, as the OSD light doesn't come on and I still get no signal even directly connecting HDMI to the TV.

Going to reformat the card and do a fresh install of Mr. Fusion.

Did you try a "clean" INI file? As in no Game Mode activated and such.

I did a full reset of the SD Card and it is now working with a 1080/60 res, vsync adjust to 2 and integer scale.

To use VRR, ALLM: do you need a HDMI 2.1 cable? I think the DE10 only has a 2.0 port, so not sure which of those is not playing nice with my C9?

DE10 is likely a 1.4 port. Certainly the data rates are no higher than that given the scaler's limitations, so you don't need any kind of high-speed cable.

Does the C9 support freesync? If so try to use that, it works better on my LG G1 for reference to use auto detect (1) or force Freesync (2).
