MiSTer and Alternative ini Files Resolution Won’t Change? [Solved]

I've got a Sony BVM as a CRT display and just got a Dell P1917S 19" 5:4 IPS for vertically oriented games. I tried to create one alternative ini file, with display mode 4 = 1280 x 1024, which is the native for the Dell IPS. However, when I change the alternative ini from the OSD, it seems to load, but the resolution stays the same (reported in the OSD) as with the MIster.ini (mode 0).
Also, should I use a custom resolution for the HDMI out as the Dell will always be rotated? If yes, how could I define that in the alternative ini file.
