Hello!
Did anyone notice that vertical flip does not work with Lady Bug? The vertical flip option was implemented
recently into the core but it does not work. I am using a crt arcade monitor.
Was this tested on a vga or lcd monitor or am I missing something here?
Any clues would be aprecciated.
regards,

Vertical Flip works only if Orientation is Horizontal.

I am using HDMI, may be it is the reason. After your first post I tried the flip but nothing happened so I tried the orientation setting while the flip was still on and it flipped. I also tried with Flip off and changing first to horizontal. Next I turned Flip on and it also works. I guess it does not work on CRT.

I enabled vertical flip over HDMI in the latest update because that is a MiSTer framework feature now and so was just a couple of lines of code and a re-compile. Unfortunately vertical flip over VGA is a much harder piece of work as it needs to be worked into the core video circuits, no shortcuts available!
I gave it a try a while back and did not have much success
I might try again but no promises I'm afraid!

Hi Jimmy!
Yes would be nice if you could give this a second try. Meanwhile I will swap the physical plug for the yoke wires when I want to flip the picture upsidedown which is a matter of seconds but not all monitors have this feature. But playing these old classics over HDMI is a no go for me. Its like driving an oldimer with a flight stick which is not the same.

So, since it is in the Framework, any chance you might tackle Gorf or a few of the others that many of us consider upside down?

From what I understand, the VGA output of Gorf is quite difficult to flip vertically.
