Just wondering what you guys use.

Also, I keep getting "Cannot find Disk" issue when trying to load 64 images.

audio filter on
sound expander no
stereo mix none

to load your d64 or t64, how do you get this error message?

I'm never sure what the best audio settings are for the C64 core.
I'll give your setting a try.

I don't know if it is the best configuration, but I find the sound more fun like that

Thanks, I figured out the error message issue btw. My boot C64 rom was messed up.

Two year old thread, thought I'd bump it lol, I use an 8580 left, and a custom 6581 filter on right, Trurl's6581R4AR_4486,but sometimes his 0784 dated R3, depending on the SID tune, and on the Audio Filters page, in the General LPF section, I use at least the 20kHz 3rd CH 1db filter, and sometimes the 16kHz 1st + AA filter, again, depending. I assume AA means Anti-Aliased, and that one of the 3 SID voices (whichever CH) is getting a 1db boost. Can anyone confirm this? There doesn't seem to be any documentation anywhere regarding those LPFs, hence why I wrote this. I'm not sure what "BW" refers to, I mean it probably stands for "Bandwidth", that's kind of obvous, but what is the diff between LPF 20khz 2nd BW and LPF 20khz 3rd BW, does anyone else know? And what do you folks use?

So the CH and BW probably represent the type of filter being used. In these examples, CH most likely stands for Chebyshev and BW for Butterworth filter. The numbers, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc... refer to the order of the filter. Usually this is how aggressive the filter is.

So for example LPF 20Khz 1st order butterworth and LPF 20Khz 3rd order butterworth are both aid to roll off the frequency at 20Kh.

The first order will be a more gradual roll off of the frequencies, probably starting a bit before 20khz. The third order will be a more abrupt cutoff closer to 20khz.

That's my layman's understanding at least.

In the end, try them all and use whatever sounds best to you. Audio is mostly subjective.
