Hey!
Since the last MENU.RBF has been upgraded, the default wallpaper is gone (TV tuner).
If I place a MENU.PNG picture on the root, nothing is showed..

Did I miss something here ?

no one here got this problem with the last update_all ?
I tried to setup different kind of PNG or JPG pictures and none of them are showed now.

All my wallpapers are working fine after the recent update

yeah, no problem here also.

But why are you placing the image in the rood folder? I have all my wallpapers in the wallpaper folder. and then you can switch to custom wallpapers with F11.

wanted to have this TV wallpaper back.

is there a way to show wallpapers on crt tv?

yes, set the [menu] to use the scaler.

[menu]
vga_scaler=1

Also for the other person wanting to get the static back, just keep pressing F1 to cycle through all the background options when on the main menu.

I updated with update_all and the "fog" is gone
The truth is that I loved it and it also made disguise a small light leak on my screen.

I'm in a Telegram group where we are many users and I know that many others are having this problem, however there are others who are not affected, it seems random...

If someone manages to reverse it and get the fog back please let us know, sure it helps many.

Have you tried cycling through the available backgrounds with F1 till you got back to that display (should be right after the black screen)?

yes, I've got all other background except the one with the "snow"

The same thing happens to me, being in the black background if I press F1 there is something that flashes quickly and again I have another black background. That is, in addition to the colored ones, I have two black backgrounds in a row.

The snow is still working here. I have a single "menu.jpg" file in the main Mister directory, which is normally my background. If I hit F1 seven times, it cycles through various color bar patterns, then a black screen, then snow. If I hit F1 an eighth time, it returns to menu.jpg.

Note that the Mister binary was updated relatively recently, and I was getting very weird results until I did a hard power cycle. I've needed to do that after the last two updates. If you folks haven't tried that yet, a full power off and reboot, it's worth a quick check to see if that fixes the symptom.

I just updated my other Mister (another totally different setup, this one with crt monitor and a different mister.ini).

Black background

F1 does nothing in this case

Do you know if there is any news about this?
If not, should we report it on Mister's github?

Having the same issue, after updating today (had not updated in like 2 months) the static background is gone

Edit: ok, found a way to solve the issue. I had to manually download the latest menu.rbf from here and replace the one I had on my sd card with it, problem solved, now I have back my tv static background. Hope it helps someone with the same issue
