the top 300 game pack gives me error on a bunch of games...and the one that loads the keybord doesn't work. they all work fine before I update (update all script)

if anyone knows how to fix it....all my games are on a hdd

How long ago did you last run update all? What was the duration between updates?

Peke, for duration between updates, he's asking how long between the update you did 2 days ago and the update prior to that.

i update 2 days ago...didn't take the time (maybe 10/15 minutes I guess? but when it finish goes to the system menu

totally guessing based on the information, you need the newer ao486 bios files. https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/ao486_M ... r/releases

boot0 and boot1 from here into your ao486 folder. Also make sure you don't have an extra ao486 folder not on your hdd like on the sdcard (meaning delete any other a0486 folders leaving only the one you want on your hdd where you are storing the pack and the cd folder).. that could cause the cd mounts not to work breaking those games.

Nothing else in the update_all script should break the pack.

well...I try a few things.,..still got problems.

I replace boot0 and boot1 with newer ones...and got error on some games that used to work (wolfestein 3d, prince of persia, etc). So I re-copy the original ones (the ones that came with the pack) and those games work again.....but prince of persia can´t control the moves with the arrows....use to work.

some games don´t work (not the ones with the heart...others).

and also I try to run the update script and got error:

when I run the script it still looks for the games in the /media/fat folder. (I allready change "BASE_PATH=/media/usb0" to match the location, I have the games on HDD).

core is amazing and I hope to fix the issues, used to work perfect...but after I run update all script got those problems.

I´m on mac...could that be an issue? (.dot files and that)?

well...on the weekend I was making some try and error and this is what i got:

my setup is 128gb micro sd card on mister and 320gb external hdd

I move all the ao486 games to the internal micro sd, then I run top 300 updater and works!, maybe I should get a bigger micro sd, is full right now.

I think timing on the hdd with the ao486 have a lot of errors, that I don´t get when is on the micro sd.

consoles and other stuff run from hdd and works the same for now.

almost all games of the ao486 work, still I can´t move prince of persia character, but maybe I make a mess with the controller of that game (used to work).

I'm not clear what problem you're trying to get help with, peke?

i got some issues running games from top 300 pack. I think I solve it by moving the games from am external hdd to the de10 nano micro sd....maybe the timings from hdd where the problem.

You might want to check your images for corruption with Windows chkdsk. I'm not sure the update script is safe.
