The arcade core game name list changed strangely.
Why did the arcde core game name list change strangely? I prefer the previous list of games. After this change, I'm very confused when looking for a game.

This does not look like the standard list. Are you using a script?
When I said "Are you using a script?" I did not mean the update all script but a script which reorganize menus. These scripts can be enabled in the update all script.
There is Names TXT but I do not think it is the reason: as far as I know it only renames cores but in the list you show it also displays alternative arcades. I may be wrong as I do not use this feature.
There is also another setting in update all:
Unofficial scripts -> Mister extensions which downloads a bunch of scripts. I do not know what they do as I don't use these features.
I cannot help you more than that as I do not use these features and I am not sure that you can undo easily what these scripts do.
Hopefully someone can help you.
If it is due to Names TXT the fix is easy:
Disable it in the update all script and delete /media/fat/names.txt.
It is absolutely names.txt that has been (radically) altered. I don't know why, but it happened a couple of months ago (and makes it pretty much useless).
Changing the name of arcades makes absolutely no sense as the mra names are extremely detailed. If one what to use categories the Arcade Organizer is way more powerful.
Quite a few spelling mistakes in the names, though. I'd love to fix those.
Name change also happened here - and the Capcom - 1942 core now doesn't work (blue screen).
Not using any scripts, happened after regular Update All.
Seems something is off with the name list. Changing the way it works (Manufacturer - Game or common description) does't change anything. Inside the actual names.txt file things look strange with manufacturer first and lots of titles missing.
Tried deleting and rebuilding, but no luck.
1942 Rev B does not work and has nothing to do with Names.txt. Some alternatives work and some don't.
If you want to get rid of names.txt I suppose you have to delete it AND disable it in the update all script.
Yup, got it. 1942 Rev B just stopped working recently, not related to the name list bug.
Deleted the names.txt manually from the terminal, wouldn't go away when deleting it (and disabling it) via the Update All menu.
All Jotego cores have been updated 3 days ago:

I have no idea what it is about.
