Problems Connecting MiSTer to a CRT

I recently purchased this cable to connect my mister to my crt: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255117620498

I changed the .ini file to composite_sync=1 as instructed, but when I power the mister up I have a really bad picture on the crt.

I can actually see the mister main menu on the screen, but the picture is jumping around all over the place so fast that it's impossible to do or read anything.

Any suggestions what the problem might be?

The cable came highly recommended, so I'm 99% sure its something I'm doing wrong, I'm just not sure what :lol:

There are a couple of things with the .ini file that seemed a bit strange that I should maybe mention:

1) I didn't actually have a mister.ini file. The closest I had was a mister_example.ini file, so this is the one I changed the composite_sync=1 and renamed as mister.ini was that correct?

2) I have tried changing composite_sync to 1 and 0 and nothing seems to change when I connect it to crt. I thought there might be a big change when I changed from one to the other, but its exactly the same on either setting....does that sound normal?

Thanks

p.s the crt itself is fine as I use it with various retro consoles without issue, megadrive, master system, pc engine, amiga 500 etc.

Looks like your TV is not getting sync. What kind of mister have you got? Maybe it has some "incompatibility" with that cable.

You can also check: https://mister-devel.github.io/MkDocs_M ... anced/crt/

Probably somebody with better knowledge will come with an answer.

Did you already confirm everything is setup according to the instructions given to you by the seller here --> https://www.retrocomputershack.com/ebay ... 001004.jpg

If so then check this --> https://mister-devel.github.io/MkDocs_M ... r-io-board

And this --> https://mister-devel.github.io/MkDocs_M ... /crttable/

Update: Seems all I needed to do was delete my mister.ini file and download a fresh one, change the sync to 1 again....and it worked.

Strange because it was a fresh install anyway, but its working so....
