Hey everyone
So, i've been trying to plug my mister to my pal crt tv with this hdmi>scart adapter with no luck (no signal found, not even in the Mister menu):

Is there anything I should try do to make it work?
And if not, can anyone can redirect me to a simple plug and play cable proved to work with mister, ideally to s-video or pal scart? (I don't have a I/O board).
Thanks

Check out

Basically you’ll need a (specific) HDMI to VGA converter and then a VGA to SCART cable. This will give you the most optimal picture possible out of your MiSTer for a CRT TV.

As you have a scaler there, make sure the Mister is set to output HDMI as normal and not using the 15Khz mode in the ini
also when it is working, plan to press your buttons about a second before you need to due to the horrible lag those cheap scalers have

Thanks for the answers!
Well, I do have a HDMI to VGA converter like this one:

Which is working good with my mister, however I'd like the sound to come out of the scart (and tv), instead of plugging that jack cable to a HI-FI equipment or somewhere else.
Unfortunatly I don't see any vga>scart with a audio input:

Any clue?

You need to buy a MiSTer-dedicated cable. There's a link to one seller on the Direct Video Wiki page. Their cable is very expensive though. Other way to do it is to buy a VGA-SCART cable,
even for MiST (already has audio jack for SCART) and add that required 470 Ohm resistor yourself (if you can solder or got somebody who can do it for you).

This is the cable which I mentoned earlier, and at 42$ is really expensive. Smoke Mosters says in this advertorial that 'a cheap, modified VGA-to-SCART cable, they are far from ideal in a lot of ways" but he fails to mention what these "ways" might be. Sure, an unshielded cable might be a bit worse, but any other decent (and still very cheap) one will be just fine - if you can add the resistor and audio yourself, and that's trivial for somebody who can solder.
I can't, so I bought dedicated, well made MiST cable with audio for 17$, then asked my mate to solder in the resistor, overall it cost me ~20$. If you use a standard VGA-SCART cable it can be done even cheaper.

This is the VGA to SCART cable I use for my MiSTer:
http://amigakit.amiga.store/product_inf ... cts_id=919
It was relatively cheap and is doing a suitable job for my needs, but has caveats.
First, despite having a 3.5mm plug for sending the audio through SCART I don't actually use it and pass sound through a separate cable instead, as I found that it had significant crosstalk interference, probably from insufficient internal shielding. The video signal looks fine, though.
Also since I'm not outputting to an actual SCART-native PAL TV but rather to a North American PVM monitor (via a SCART switch), there's no need for a resistor I think? So I'm not sure if that cable actually has that.

Would a HDMI > s-video converter like this one work?

Basically, I'm looking for a plug and play solution like this one with composite, but with a better image quality:
