Classic Controllers and SNAC?

Unread post by Blade Runner »

I have a lot of classic/mini controllers nes/snes, even genesis but that’s usb
So I want to use nes and snes they have wii plugs

I saw this cable
https://ultimatemister.com/product/snes ... -mini-wii/

Will that cable above work with this
https://ultimatemister.com/product/ulti ... mini-hdmi/

Will those 2 things work with the nes/classic controllers?

I’m confused do those things in the link only work with blisster?
I don’t have blisster but I have used usb/nes snac adapters in the past , but those things in the link have hdmi ports

Is there a better way to use the classic controllers on the mister ? I know about the raphnet adapter but that’s very expensive after shipping

not a snac, but this could work?

https://github.com/theisolinearchip/nesmini_usb_adapter

or if you arent keen on DIY, people are buying these for the adapter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073HPD5TC/

I was looking at that emio but it has horrible lag

https://rpubs.com/misteraddons/inputlatency

I don’t know if the lag is the controller or adapter

And I have no idea what any of the stuff in that GitHub link means

the controller is trash but many people are throwing away the controller and using the adapter for guitar/clone hero. if the adapter had high latency, i dont think we'd see guitar hero pc players using/recommending the adapter. timing is critical in that game!

$12, worth a shot.

Hello,
Responded also in the email. It does not work with SNAC. We just have firmware support for that cable on BlisSTer and GamerPRO. Unfortunately the SNAC is limited just to some cables and controllers.

I tested the emio adapter with the classic controllers works really good
I don’t notice a difference between the emio adapter and the timville adapter for og controllers

Still I would like to know the actual numbers
How do people test for lag on mister ? Like the ones on the list above

It feels nice using new controllers compared to the old og controllers

edit: quoted the wrong person trying to avoid quoting that huge block of text.

click on Procedure tab on the top

it seems like the list does not have the emio adapter tested by itself. it would make sense that if you use a laggy controller through the adapter its not going to make it any better, if anything it would add additional latency.

If anybody reading this for future reference
If you want the raphnet adapter but think is too expensive
This one has the same polling 1000hz as the raphnet
So you will get the same ms of lag 1.8
I got it and works with mister and the classic controllers

Would the mister reflex and wii/classic adapter nes classic controller be better in terms of lag over the raphnet/ebay adapter classic adapter ?

https://misteraddons.com/products/refle ... 8047477893

$50 is a lot of money for an adapter but I have like 4 nes/snes classic controllers that I want to use with mister and would like the least lag possible
Would this reflex adapt be better than the raphnet adapter ?

Ultimatemister now has a Daemonbite adapter for the wiimote plug:

https://ultimatemister.com/product/ulti ... 1-classic/

This should get the desired 1ms input lag.

You can also use them through a Wiimote using a bluetooth dongle, input latency chart claims roughly 10ms (?) input lag for this setup. Not ideal, but decent for a wireless setup.

Is there any difference between this and the reflex adapter ?
If you tested the same controller in both adapters , would you get the same lag results ?

We use an improved version of the Ralph firmware on this specific add-on.
We also have the new GamerPRO Advanced that support +300 controllers. I doubt anyone can beat this ;)

You should be able to use dd on Mac, Linux or BSD

I has a you tube
Analog IO
USB board
VGA > Component
HDMI > FPM
