I have just opened a ticket in GitHub to kindly ask you, when you get a chance, if you could change the .rbf name from toaplan1 to zerowing in the Zero Wing (2P set) [No Flash].mra. Seriously without that red flashing effect it does look a completely brand new game :mrgreen:

big thanks for these, and for all your work!!
Toaplan PCBs are top of the food chain SHMUPs. very few titles that arent worth investing time to 1CC.
ive been grinding out a clear in Truxton 2 (new version) and that has been a tough but satisfying adventure.

and having spent some time playing the games on Toaplan boards, ive really improved all around in SHMUPs, and i feel like they're a great teacher. where playing them gives me skills/strategies that transfer over to so many other games

I played a bunch of Vimana & Fire Shark tonight, both excellent and unique shmups in their way! Any day a new Toaplan core gets added its time to celebrate, thanks so much for all the efforts of those involved!

Great job, one of my faves.

Found a small error/bug in Fire Shark (fireshrk) I think:

Setting continue game to "no" has no effect, the game still accepts continues and has a grace/waiting period before you can restart.

First off, thanks for continuing to pump out these awesome releases!
2 issues / questions:

1) my blisster port SNES controller wasn't registering any button presses when trying to set the controls within the Fireshark core. I had no problems using a gamepad plugged in via USB. This is the first game (arcade, console) where I have had this problem. Maybe something in the .mra?

2) when setting up the controls within a core (ie not specific to this one), how does one "skip" the setting of a particular control? For instance, I dont have a need to setup p2 coin / start, so how do I skip (ie leave unassigned) a particular control?

Just to add on, I notice the same problem / possible user-error in the Vimana core (= an inability to setup controls using my blisster port controller)

You either need to have a Menu button assigned on your controller and press it to skip, or have a keyboard connected at the same time and press a key on that to skip the button assignment.

That is a bug, but I think it's an actual software bug. I'll have to look again. Don't really remember.

It's on github with an updated release and some changes, won't distribute with updater until we are done with Demon's World and I make some minor code changes in Vimana. If you pull it, take all the mra's from releases.
