I just received my jamma adapter today, I plugged it into the ioboard and I only see the red light next to the fan turn on any ideas on this. The io board works normally with all lights on my hdmi connection. I also obviously have no picture on the crt.

When first plugged in the adapter had smoke and smelled, I am in the process of returning I think or an exchange, but it is a hassle since it's from spain....

I may try my digital io board to see if it provides power , before I return the adapter, obviously not expecting a picture just to see if mister boots up

Smoke and Smell is never good for electronics. Hope you did nothing wrong.

My first JAMM adaptor from Villena (my mister is also from him) worked, but one day, after plugging it in, the picture in the CRT had no synce and the adaptor was unusually hot. I opened it and one trace was burnt. I returned it to him (I live in Spain) and got a new one, that so far has worked perfectly.

I tried my digital io board , it also I had the fan turn on and red light but not start up. Since it works on my regular TV, I will assume power isn't full coming into the mister.

I think the new JAMMA adaptor from Villena, can power the Mister from the JAMMA harness through the VGA port, is that what you are trying? I personally think it is safer to just use the regular port and an external PSU. Mistercade offers a better solution if you want to take power from the JAMMA harness and avoid the external PSU.

Apparently I burn out a micro controller , was just issued a refund. So I guess I will get a mistercade when they are back in stock
