I have been spoiled by my retrotink5x on original hw this year
sometimes 25-50% can be ok but not great its pretty generic scanline looking imo
edit - im an idiot I see the ones for PVM, trinitron, faded, JVC, etc.
any you'd recommend in particular you really like ?

Disable the CRT function you're using right now.
For a slightly brighter and sharper look than the above fine suggestion I often go with
GS_Sharpness_055 to 60
Adaptive SLA:Dk_80_Br_90
Gamma: CRT Simulation (or a matching Poly or Pure gamma, depending on the core/game)
Shadow Mask 1x Sony Trinitron (1968) or MegaAGS (part of AmigaVision package)

how come none of the filters alternate where the lines are drawn to simulate interlaced scan? like draw scanlines every odd line for one frame, then every even line for the next frame, then repeat.
