My question is on if this is possible and then asking things to think about:
I want to build an arcade where you walk into the place and approach the front desk and pick any game you can think of...arcade, console, Japanese, handheld....and the front desk associate says "ok and sends the ROM of the game you ask to the appropriate mister arcade setup....Hi I want frogger...then an arcade cabinet with a mister gets frogger ROM sent to it and rebooted to frogger as a default and you walk over and play...I want castelvania...same thing but you walk to a CRT with NES controllers and a mister...etc
Thoughts?

There is a "remote" HTML based web tool which can be used.

A video is here to help understand.

I should say that the ROM in this scenario, doesnt get SENT to it as it would be on the SD card, but there is no reason you couldnt have a file server with the games on there... I am sure it can be done.

Using the roms in this way commercially is illegal. The rights owners probably wont bother with an individual but running a commercial buisness is bound to draw attention.

You'll want to use the remote browser script that's linked above.
Once you activate script it will remain enabled even after hard power off.
Great script especially when you run arcade machines with 3 button control panels
