Mega Drive/Genesis Confused About Multiplayer

hi,
i own an daemonbite 2x DB9 adapter und two 8bitdo M30. But when i connect both joypads the second one is not recognized so i can't play 2P with Mega Drive. I wonder how i can play for example Gunstar Heros with two players?
As far as i know multiplayer with SNAC is only possible with multitap but only with games that support multitap (i guess Gunstar Heros is none of them). EA sports games need again another multitap.

Did you update Firmware?tunnel rush Make sure both the DaemonBite 2x DB9 adapter and the 8bitdo M30 controllers have the latest firmware installed.

Hmmm, I know with my Daemonbites, I renamed the controller ID in the daemonbite code before I flashed my adapters (i.e. named one P1 and the other P2). As far as I know, all that does is allow you to map two of the same controllers differently, though. I would think it should just “work” as is without doing that.
