Is it possible to have a crypto miner running like nice hash when not using the MiSTer. I know it would be a low pay out but a little something is better then nothing, right? Has anyone ever explored this?

My own opinion is crypto mining and miners are the worst scum of the Universe. I do so hope if you ever manage to do what you do that it destroys your DE10.

This seems pretty laughable given the little ARM chip can barely run an audio synth.

I won't waste too much breath on this because I share much of the sentiment above about crypto.
Yes, sure, why not. You could run a miner on the weedy ARM cores or heck, even write some HDL clown code to masquerade as a mining ASIC. But you'd quickly find you don't have the efficiency to effectively mine and break even. You'd just be wasting electricity, even in a swarm you'd be contributing so little it would be a fool's errand.

It's probably possible but it's not powerful enough to make it worthwhile.

FPGA64, little over the top.

I put Hitler and Bin Laden higher, but whatever makes you happy

Good to see you agree they are scum and are now just arguing about how bad they are.

Re: Crypto Mining On DE10-Nano?
This is not the first time somebody came along asking this in gaming forums, so let's give a firm answer:
Please ask such questions to the right community. I can give you the link to an FPGA mining discord:
Looking at their FAQ it looks like proper FPGA boards for mining run at about $5000 to $6000 minimum.
The DE-10 is a toy in comparison. It is like asking if you could GPU mine on a Raspberry Pi.
