Hi Folks,
I was hoping to use one of my N64 controllers with the upcoming core, so hooked up my old Adaptoid USB converter in the hope it might work.

<-- one like this
It maps OK in the menu and does function, but the stick Y axis seems to be seen incorrectly - instead of appearing as ALY it seems to be ARY.
Stick position Top Left:

Stick position Bottom Right:

Is this something incorrect in the configuration that I can change, or might this be a driver issue?
Edit: I added the console output from connecting the adapter & moving the stick
Many Thanks!

To round this off, having updated to a recent unstable MiSTer(2023-08-18 64131f0) I rebound the controller in main and no longer have this problem.
Perhaps something was wrong in the initial binding or something changed but either way working as expected now.

I also have the same problem of the incorrect Y axis with an Adaptoid N64.
I did update to the latest unstable Mister and redefined the joystick buttons but still not working as expected
How to "rebound the controller" ?
Thank you.
Edit: The problem was solved by going all the way through the buttons mapping process, it you quit at after the "menu" button the analog stick will not be correctly configured.

This might be a nice alternative. I don't have one, so I can't say for sure, but most likely it would work: https://www.raphnet-tech.com/products/d ... /index.php

I tested the Adaptoid with the N64 core, the analog stick is out of range

This was fixed recently. Most controllers use either a signed 8 bit range or higher, but Nintendo likes to do their own thing. The current core is mapping the analog input to match Nintendo's expected range more closely, so there shouldn't be any more weird sensitivity issues.
