Ghosts 'n Goblins - ROM No Good?

I just managed to get the Arcade cores working a few days ago by changing my update_all settings to include Arcade ROMs. I tried a few out and all was fine until I got to Ghosts 'n Goblins, then I just get this on screen:

RAM OK

ROM CHECK
ROM NO GOOD

I can't start the game or do anything other than press the button to view the core credits, which does work.

I tried deleting the .zip file containing the ROM data from the SD card and then re-running the update_all.sh script but I get the same result.
Ghouls 'n Ghosts seems to work ok. I'm assuming that the ROM is fine as I don't see any threads about 'ROM NO GOOD' on this forum.

Can anybody help?

EDIT: I just tried loading some of the alternative versions. The US and World Set 3 versions both gave the same ROM NO GOOD error. However, the Bootleg and Word Set 2 versions initially both ran and went into demo mode for a few seconds, before the screen went nuts. It just filled with multi coloured flashing garbage. Trying to run those 2 ROM sets again and I then got the ROM NO GOOD error for both.

Might want to report your issue as well since it's not a crash but the rom can't load. Could possibly be an sdram controller issue or some marginal timing problems.

Ah, in that case it might be because I currently can only see half of my SDRAM. I recently built a MiSTer Multisystem and on the SDRAM board I have an incorrect non-inverter IC. When I get the replacement then that might fix it.

Oh yeah, if that has the wrong IC on it, there is your problem!

Changed the IC and all good now.
