HI all , I updated my mister fpga yesterday with update_all script and now the TMNT arcade core is missing... is something wrong in the script for the arcade cores, or this core is deleted?
Thanks and Regards

So it's been removed because it's not as good as something else that isn't available to everyone yet?
Perfection or NOTHING!
You can either subscribe to Jotego’s Patreon to help fund his full time team of programmers, or wait a couple of weeks whilst the rest of us fund it so you get it for free.
You get the Simpsons too if you subscribe now!
I am a Jotego patreon, and I noticed the Furrtek's original TMNT core disapperared when I got the beta for the Jotego one, but in my opinion it sucks that non-patreons lose access to it if they use update_all. Is that really the case? Can it at least be downloaded from elsewhere and manually installed?
Sorry about that, I didn’t mean to offend.
May I ask why it was controversial?
This should not leave the update all before the new one has been fully released for at least a couple of months. If it's a name issue just call it something different like TMNT alternate or whatever, but otherwise this should just not be happening. It's not taking gigabytes of space either.
People worked hard an this core too.

I don't really care about the TMNT core regardless of how finished or feature rich it is.
But a public core - one that was also partly crowd funded via Patreon - was removed because its presence irritated a couple of people who couldn't bear to see a duplicate file name.
And instead of acknowledging this as the thoughtless oversight which it is you use it to grandstand about how you're funding other people's enjoyment.
What is the issue ?
You can still add Furrteks core manually or is copying a .rbf and MRA to the SD card too taxing ?
Like others have stated just throw Jotego a few quid, it's not like his work doesn't deserve it
I love the level of entitlement on display
The arcade updater is not even an official script as it grabs the arcade ROMs which breaks copyright

For such a short post, it's an impressive amount of strawmen
CRT SCR$ Project - building a collection of high-quality photos of CRT displays
CRT ART Books - retro-gaming books with authentic CRT photos

Fair enough.
I don’t know anything about the story behind the removal that you refer to. If it’s without the core’s author’s approval then that isn’t great, I’m sure Jotego posted somewhere he had spoken to the author about it and they’d agreed Jotego to take development forward on this one.
Sorry you saw it as grandstanding, it doesn’t stop it being true though.

Really ? the core has not gone anywhere you can still use it
Does copying a .rbf across to the SDcard take any longer than running a script ?
Looking at this it was done above board too :
Remember that Furrtek or Jotego have nothing to do with the update all script either, maybe you should ask Theypsilon ?
The issue is that the update all script removes the current core, even if you manually copied it to the SD card like I did.
It's most likely unintentional, but I can see the frustration some folks may have with it.
And yes, you can download the RBF and MRAs and manually place them on the SD card...just don't run update_all script again until either the issue has been addressed or Jotego's core is out of Beta.....or become a patron of his.
Until then, lets all just be a little bit more civil. Errors/mistakes happen all the time and usually corrected in due time.
I just tried all US versions of TMNT and had audio
Simpsons (W, 2P, Set 3) worked fine. I had to go into the service menu and enable sound in attract mode.
