Ti Calculators? (Ti 83/84)

I've recently been testing the many cores of the MiSTer and recently thought about something that could be interesting to see on here. I wasn't sure where exactly to put this because it's not really a game console, but it also definitely has that capability and that is the Ti 83 and 84 graphing calculators. I think many of us as students had one of these and didn't just use them for their graphing functionality.

I know they use the Zilog Z80 cpu, and it would be quite interesting to see how the software that runs on them compares to other systems using the same chip. Just thought I'd put this out there.

There seems to exist a TI83p calc written in VHDL. So maybe a dev can have a look and maybe port it to MiSTer.

That's a very interesting idea but how we get TI-86 and TI-89 support too while we're thinking about it? Anyone else remember playing Drug Wars and Fall Down or maybe Mario clone game?

I never played Drug Wars, but definitely had heard of it, and I definitely did play a Mario clone or 2 on my Ti-84 Plus, and it looks like Drug Wars also existed on those. I am curious how different the underlying systems really are between this whole lineup of calculators, something I will now research, haha.

You had the Ti83/84 line, the Ti89 was more powerful. And then there were also good games in grayscale for the HP48/49... all of those would be gteat to have as cores
