When connected via an 8bitdo adapter, sticks and vibration do not work. Although I remember exactly how the sticks worked before.

I have a wired 8bitdo pro 2, and I discovered today that the vibration only works if the core is set to DualShock, so maybe try that?

That's expected, none other controller then the DualShock hat vibration on the PSX.
